what is hyrox?

Hyrox is a global fitness race designed for serious, competitive, and community-minded athletes.

It combines functional fitness and endurance: eight 1-kilometer runs alternating with eight functional workout stations (sled pushes/pulls, rowing, burpees, wall balls, farmer’s carries, sled pulls, sandbag lunges, and more).

Events are standardized so performance is easily comparable across locations and divisions, making Hyrox ideal for benchmarking progress and competing against others.

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or training to complete your first race, Hyrox challenges overall strength, speed, and stamina—perfect for athletes who want a measurable, high-intensity test of fitness.

At Alpine, our Hyrox-focused programming mixes targeted strength sessions, endurance runs, and event-specific skill work to help you race smarter, faster, and stronger.
